Welcome to the Northwest Side of town!

The Northwest Valley is a multi-city region within the Phoenix Metropolitan Area and is very popular and attractive, as far as affordable housing options are concerned.

The Northwest Valley offers an array of homes, 55+ communities, demographics, populations, public services, industrial areas and amenities.

Before you reach that northern community, the Northwest side of Phoenix has a few amazing offerings as well. These would include the City of Glendale, and the City of Peoria.

The extraordinarily popular area known as Arrowhead Ranch (in Glendale) is a local favorite to say the least! Tree-lined streets, down home neighborhood feel, plenty of entertainment with something for everyone.

What is known today as Arrowhead Ranch was once a grand citrus ranch where oranges and lemons flourished under the Sonoran desert sun. In the mid-1980s, some 5,000-odd acres were developed in the (then) far northwest Valley and became a bustling master-planned residential community. Now, thousands of families call this area home.

The larger master-plan for Arrowhead Ranch is divided into several neighborhoods including Arrowhead Homestead (the original community), Arrowhead Lakes, Arrowhead Legends, Sierra Verde at Arrowhead Ranch and the Highlands at Arrowhead Ranch. Homes range from traditional single-family residences to luxury estates, lakeside enclaves and golf-course properties.

Mature palm trees, desert cacti, manicured lawns and an array of clay-tile roofs create a spectacular suburban color palette in Arrowhead Ranch. An established and mature enclave of several neighborhoods, this is a community where homeowners’ associations maintain the beauty and integrity of the neighborhoods. Streets feature landscaped center medians, while roadways are wide and brightly lighted.

Glendale and the Northwest Valley is a bustling area of activity. Within minutes of leaving their front door, Arrowhead Ranch residents can shop at popular Arrowhead Towne Center, catch a Cactus League Spring Training game, watch the Arizona Cardinals, or play a round of golf at the Arnold Palmer-designed Arrowhead Country Club. In 2023, Glendale will play host to Super Bowl LVII right here at State Farm Stadium!

The residents of this area mostly seem drawn to the outdoors. Arrowhead Country Club attracts golfers, but residents away from the links also have plenty to enjoy. One example is Thunderbird Park’s 1,185 acres and 15 miles of trails are ideal for hikers, bikers and/or joggers, while Lake Pleasant Regional Park is only a short drive north for boating and water-recreation enthusiasts.

As you venture further north, you’ll continue to find beauty and desert tranquility all the way out to the farthest reaches of the desert as you may just (possibly) decide to head out of town and try your luck about 5 hours northwest on US 93, enjoying the vast open spaces and scenic desert beauty, all the way up to fabulous Las Veags, Nevada.

It’s no wonder why people have so much curiosity and fun when it comes to visitng the Valley of the Sun. It’s truly amazing as is so well rounded, with so much history, I suppose there are many that just can’t leave it behind. I can make that claim for myself. I’ve enjoyed being a permanent fixture here in the Valley for over 20 years and counting.
