Located between 24th and 32nd Street, just north of Camelback Road, you’ll find Phoenix’s Biltmore neighborhood.

This is considered one of the city’s most coveted residential areas, where pristine homes shoulder up against bustling financial buildings, restaurants, and plenty of shopping. The legendary and prestigious Biltmore Hotel and Spa is always in season. The over-the-top Waldorf Astoria Resort remains a popular attraction and plays host to the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club.

Since its inception, it has been beckoning anyone from around the world as a top choice for vacation destination and to some, vacation was never enough.

The Residential Area

The New York Times referred to the Biltmore neighborhood as “elegant desert dwelling with a Midwest touch.”

To begin, the upscale neighborhood is plush with green grass and generous with mature shade trees. It’s also decorated beautifully with bubbling fountains, fragrant citrus and rose gardens, gently swaying palms, and offers some of the most breathtaking homes within the Valley of the Sun.

The Biltmore neighborhood also has a rich history.

The Arizona Biltmore, opened in 1929, was built by Albert Chase McArthur, a student of Frank Lloyd Wright. Every president from Herbert Hoover through George W. Bush has been a guest at this world-famous spa and resort. It often hosts celebrities from around the world year-round.

Home prices in the Biltmore neighborhood have an extraordinary range as it offers so many types of homes to consider. From lofts style/condos, golf course residences, all the way up to some of the area’s upper crust luxury home sites aligned with Arcadia, Paradise Valley and North Scottsdale.

The Biltmore has something to offer almost everyone.

Some of the price tags and HOA fees in many cases are not for the faint of heart. It is a bustling district with a high density population. Many of these homes and condos are securely located within gated communities, or are nestled behind beautiful fences, 24-hour concierge services, and valet parking, which of course, creates a sense of privacy, safety, and exclusivity.

Shopping and Entertainment

Though much of the lush setting of the Biltmore neighborhood feels secluded and tucked away from the city, it is in fact; in close proximity to everything most people need on a day-to day basis. That’s why so many call it home – it serves as an anchor for residents with busy travel schedules, who are returning to “usual” work schedules as we emerge from a work-from home environment, and Sky Harbor Airport is a relatively quick Uber ride away. It’s one of the best hubs to call home here in the Valley.

The Biltmore Fashion Park is an outdoor, open-air, sprawling dream come true for many. It’s also very close by are the Camelback East Village Shops, the Camelback Esplanade, and the ever-growing Town & Country Shopping Center. Numerous grocery store options ranging from Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s to the popular local Fry’s Supermarket all offer fresh produce and clean environments. Banking, dentistry, pharmacies, quick convenient shops are a plenty.

This area is very dense with cars and busses, yet some prefer to have alternate modes of transportation such as bikes, scooters, and of course walking, especially during the winter months. It’s a good reminder to us all to always be aware of our surroundings and pay special attention for all types of pedestrians as we make our way around the district.

The Biltmore area is nestled in a very centralized location. Downtown Phoenix is about 20 min drive; likewise, a night out in Old Town Scottsdale is about the same distance – in the opposite direction.

With so much to offer, it’s no wonder why the Biltmore is such a popular choice for so many Phoenicians.
